Farhan Akhtar reveals his focus is on Don 3, shares the status of Jee Le Zaraa | Hindi Movie News

Farhan Akhtar is returning to direction after a long gap with Don 3, his last being Shah Rukh Khan starrer Don 2. The announcement of replacing Shah Rukh Khan with Ranveer Singh sent shockwaves in the industry. The film is slated to release in 2025 and will go on floor next month. But before this, he had also announced a film called Jee Le Zaraa which had a starcast of Priyanka Chopra, Katrina Kaifand Alia Bhatt attached to it.But after a point rumours began to fly thick and fast that Priyanka and Katrina have walked out of the film. Reema Kagti who is also the co-producer and co-writer on the film mentioned that the film is very much on with the same star cast.
In an interview with Khaleej Times, Farhan about the film and said that he is waiting for the dates to align. He said that it hasn’t been easy and he will pick up the film only after he is done with Don 3, as all his focus is now with the Ranveer starrer.
But that is not all, he is equally focussed on his acting career and he also confirmed that he is now working with Aamir Khan Productions in a film that will be directed by RS Prasanna who earlier directed Shubh Mangal Saavdhan. The shooting starts in January.
Farhan also added that he will be acting in a film that is being produced under his home banner in June and post that he will jump straight into Don.
A few days ago, Farhan had also opened up about his decision to cast Ranveer as Don. In an interview with BBC Asian Network he said, “Ranveer is amazing. He’s great for the part. He’s also, as you can imagine, really excited and really nervous, about the thing. You’re filling some big shoes before you. But we went through the same emotional process when Shah Rukh did it and everyone was like ‘Oh my God, how can you replace Mr. Bachchan?’ That whole thing happened then.”
