Drunk passenger onboard Delhi-Bengaluru flight booked

BENGALURU: A drunk passenger identified as R Prateek (30) was detained by Bengaluru International Airport Police (BIA) on Friday after he allegedly tried open flap of an emergency door of a flight in which he was travelling from Delhi to Bengaluru.
Although the safety of the airline was not compromised, his act resulted in panic due to which a complaint was filed. Upon arrival at Bengaluru, he was taken by Central Industrial Security Force (CISF). He was then shifted to BIA for questioning.

BIA police talking to TOI said Prateek was in inebriated condition while travelling in the plane and he made attempt to open the flap “We have booked him under IPC sections 290 (causing public nuisance) and 336 (endangering life or personal safety of others) and Section 11A of the Aircraft Act.
The police said complaint was filed by a co-passenger. The cops have served a notice to him while he is currently left the station. The police said the probe is on and he will be summoned again for questioning.
