Dream Girl 2: Ayushmann Khurrana viewed Sridevi, Madhuri Dixit as competition for his role Pooja

Ayushmann Khurrana, who recently donned a female avatar in his latest film Dream Girl 2, revealed that he sought inspiration from legendary actresses Madhuri Dixit and Sridevi to prepare for his role in the film.

In an interview with Prajakta Koli on YouTube, Ayushmann talked about how he prepared to play Pooja and said, “My competition was Sridevi and Madhuri ma’am for Pooja’s character in Dream Girl 2 because I didn’t want to follow any male actor.”

He further shared the challenges he faced while playing the character in Dream Girl 2. He revealed, “Indo-Gangetic plains of our country with 45 degrees Celsius hot and humid conditions with a wig on my head, bhaari (heavy) lehanga and makeup. 4 ghante baad daadhi firse aa jati thi. Fir makeup remove karo, shave karo, firse shave karo. I have gone through it. It’s not easy man.”

Dream Girl 2 is directed by Raaj Shaandilyaa and also stars Ananya Panday in a pivotal role.
