‘Dome of Future’ showcases Odisha’s Metaverse presence | India News

BHUBANESWAR: The 5T initiatives in Odisha have pushed the state into the forefront of digital transformation, with a notable impact on various sectors. Technology, a key pillar of the 5T policy, has been harnessed to bring about positive changes in the lives of the people and society, as advocated by 5T and Nabin Odisha chairman Kartik Pandian.
The IT department introduced the ‘Dome of Future‘ digital museum at the world Odia language conference that was held in Bhubaneswar. Equipped with next-gen AI & AR tech, humanoid robots, and VR headsets, the digital museum provides visitors with an immersive experience, allowing them to witness the history and evolution of the Odia language in the Metaverse.
Chairman Kartik Pandian personally visited the ‘Dome of Future’ to connect with Odias globally in a virtual space, celebrating the linguistic, literary, cultural, and heritage aspects of Odisha through technology, especially the Metaverse. During his visit, he engaged with school students attending the exhibition, discussing various facets of the conference and exhibition.
The event saw the presence of chief advisor to CMO R Balakrishnan, principal secretary of E&IT department Manoj Kumar Mishra, culture director Dilip Routray, OSEPA director Anupam Shah, and other senior officials. The efforts of chairman Kartik Pandian have garnered widespread appreciation across the state, leading to the hashtag ‘#VKPandianInMetaverse’ trending at the number one position on the social media platform ‘X’.
