Director Siddharth Anand faced criticism for not utilizing Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone to their full potential in his latest film, ‘Fighter.’ In a recent revelation, Siddharth revealed the reason for not leveraging their stardom and credited Hrithik for his valuable suggestions during the film.
Siddharth said that he aimed for a more realistic portrayal of their characters, Patty and Mini.Speaking to Gallata Plus, the filmmaker stated that he prioritized the freshness of Patty and Mini’s characters and their genuine reactions.
Hrithik’s character, Patty, carries a certain ‘angst’ from his past experiences, and the director didn’t want him to be someone flamboyantly romancing. In contrast, Deepika’s character, Mini, is portrayed as self-respecting and headstrong, making her less expressive. Siddharth believed that the dynamics between Patty and Mini would be enjoyable on-screen.
