Dhanush has recently completed directing his upcoming film, D50, where he also stars. Taking to social media, he expressed gratitude to the crew and producer Kalanithi Maran for their support.
Sharing the news on his handle, Dhanush posted, “#D50 #DD2wrapped. Immense thanks to the entire team and cast. Grateful to Kalanithi Maran Sir and Sun Pictures for backing my vision.”
D50 was announced with a poster featuring Dhanush sporting a clean-shaven head, obscuring his face against the backdrop of industrial settings, reminiscent of the initial announcement. Filming for D50 began in July this year.
While details about the cast and crew remain under wraps, anticipation brews among fans.
Dhanush, who made his directorial debut with Pa Paandi in 2017, earned his first Filmfare Award for Best Director – Tamil for the film. Apart from D50, his lineup includes Captain Miller, an action-adventure drama set in the pre-Independence era, directed by Arun Matheswaran. The film stars Shiva Rajkumar, Priyanka Mohan, Nivedhithaa Sathish, John Kokken, and Moor in pivotal roles.
