JAMMU: The NIA on Saturday apprehended a juvenile over the charge of harbouring terrorists involved in the killing of six civilians at Dhangri village in Rajouri district in Jammu and Kashmir.
The Dhangri terror attack took place on January 1, 2023, in which six people belonging to the Hindu community were killed and several others seriously injured.
A spokesperson of the NIA said the juvenile was already lodged at an observation home in RS Pura, Jammu, in relation to another case registered in Mendhar, Poonch.
“The accused was taken into custody by the NIA on Saturday and produced before the Juvenile Justice Board, Rajouri, for remand,” the spokesperson said.
“Investigations by the NIA revealed that the apprehended juvenile, along with two other earlier arrested people, Nisar Ahmed and Mushtaq Hussain, was involved in harbouring the terrorists who had carried out the attack at Dhangri,” the spokesperson said.
