Following Prime Minister Narendra Modi‘s recent visit to Lakshadweep and the photos posted by him on X, there has suddenly been an uptick in demand for the reintroduction of the Mangaluru-Lakshadweep passenger service by waterways.
Vathika Pai, proprietor, Vathika International Travels, said the number of traveller queries since the PM’s visit has surged as people are keen on finding out more about this picturesque Union Territory. Most of these queries, though, are not for immediate travel plans, Pai said, adding that people primarily want to know about the facilities there, the travel options available and the best time for travel.
