Coca-Cola transfers bottling operations to streamline supply chain

NEW DELHI: Beverage major Coca-Cola announced the transfer of its company-owned bottling operations in three territories in the north, east, and north east, in a bid to streamline the supply chain.
The move to refranchise the company-owned bottling operations to three of its existing franchise bottlers is focused on streamlining the supply chain in the region, and raising the bar on execution, a statement from Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages (HCCB), subsidiary of The Coca-Cola Company, said.
As part of the transfer, the Rajasthan market will be owned and operated by Kandhari Global Beverages, which comprises Enrich Agro Food Products and Kandhari Beverages. They are currently operating in parts of Delhi, Himachal Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, Chandigarh, Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh. The Bihar market will be owned and operated by SLMG Beverages, which is currently operating Uttarakhand, parts of Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, and Bihar.
The North-East market and select areas of West Bengal will be owned and operated by Moon Beverages. They are currently operating parts of Delhi and Uttar Pradesh.
