VISAKHAPATNAM: YSRCP general secretary and advisor to Andhra Pradesh CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy, on Friday denied the opposition TDP’s charge that its leader N Chandrababu Naidu’s arrest in the skill development scam was a “regime revenge”.
Reddy told TOI in an interview that action against Naidu was initiated after investigations done by central agencies like ED, I-T Department and Central Board of Excise and Customs.“Have you heard either Naidu or TDP saying that he is not involved in the scams? No, because they know Naidu committed serious crimes by diverting public money to benami companies.”

He said YSRCP will win the 2024 assembly elections with even a bigger majority because of reforms initiated by the CM in sectors like education, health and rural administration. “No other state has initiated reforms on such a big scale. Political and social empowerment of SC, ST, BC and minority communities have changed the political demography of the state,” he claimed.

Andhra Pradesh is the only state in the country that delivers welfare pensions at the doorsteps of beneficiaries every month, he said and added that Rythu Bharosa Kendras have become the single point resource centres for farmers and have become a model in the country.
Reddy said the CM has taken a decision to make Visakhapatnam with the objective of giving a big push to development in the long-neglected north-coastal region. “The aim is to ensure that all proposed projects take off and help generate employment in the backward region of the state.”
