Chandramukhi 2 box office collection day 5: Raghava Lawrence-Kaganana Ranaut’s film mints Rs 28 crore | Hindi Movie News

The Vaccine War, Fukrey 3 and Chandramukhi 2 released together on the partial holiday of Anant Chaturdashi last week, with Shah Rukh Khan starrer Jawan still running in theatres. Amidst this crowd, Fukrey 3 and Chandramukhi 2 have managed to make it big. P Vasu helmed Chandramukhi 2 has managed a steady pace at the domestic box office.
On Monday, Chandramukhi 2 earned Rs 4.50 crore nett, taking its total to Rs 28.95 crore, reports Sacnilk.This horror drama is a sequel to 2005 blockbuster entertainer Chandramukhi, which starred Rajinikanth and Jyothika in the lead roles. In Chandramukhi 2,Kangana Ranaut essays the role of a dancer, while Raghava plays King Vettaiyan Raja. Chandramukhi 2 was to hit the screens on September 15 but was delayed to September 28 due to technical issues.
Ahead of Chandramukhi 2 release, Raghava met Rajinikanth and had shared a video on X (formerly Twitter) from his outing. Taking Rajinikanth’s blessings. Raghava wrote, “Hi friends and fans. Today I met my Thalaivar and guru @rajinikanth to wish him for Jailer’s blockbuster success and got blessings for Chandramukhi 2 release on September 28. I’m so happy. Thalaivar is always great. Guruve Saranam (Teacher is everything).”
Praising the team of Chandramukhi 2, Rajinikanth had penned a note, which read, “I heartily congratulate Shri. P. Vasu, who took his massively successful film in a completely new direction, giving cinephiles a beautiful entertainer, and my brother Raghava Lawrence who has acted wonderfully, as well as the entire cast and crew of the film.” Reacting to the same, Raghava Lawrence wrote, “This has made my day, a surprise love note ✍🏻 🕴🏻 from my Brother, my Guru, my Thalaivar Superstar @rajinikanth ❤️ What more praise would we need for #Chandramukhi2 – your encouragement means the world to us. 🙏🏻 Thank you Thalaiva! 🤝🏻Guruve Saranam.”
