Celebrities at the 2023 US Open

[ad_1]

The 2023 US Open — the last tennis Grand Slam of the year — kicked off on Aug. 28 at Billie Jean King Tennis Center in Queens, NY, and those in attendance have been treated to some great matches so far. Some of the celebrities spotted during the first eight days of the tennis tournament include Hailey and Justin Bieber, former President Barack Obama and former first lady Michelle Obama, actor Katie Holmes, and singer Maren Morris.

And it’s not just fans who like seeing the celebs — it’s the players, too. American tennis player Coco Gauff joked after her third-round match (and victory) that seeing Justin and Hailey cheering for her inspired her win. “I definitely saw who was there,” Gauff, 19, said after the match on ESPN, per CNN. “I thought, ‘I cannot lose in front of Justin Bieber.’ I didn’t lose a game after I saw that.”

Between now and the finals on Sept. 10, we expect to see even more famous faces make their way to Flushing to watch some great tennis, and there are tons of people to root for this year. Gauff have given fans a lot to look forward to, as have fellow US players Frances Tiafoe, Ben Shelton, Taylor Fritz, and Madison Keys. Plus, there’s the new rivalry between Carlos Alcaraz and Novak Djokovic that has plenty of fans rooting for a rematch in the final.

On Sept. 5, the crowd at the US Open included Mariska Hargitay, Peter Hermann, and their son August, plus Emma Watson, Chloë Grace Moretz, and “Parks and Rec” alum Retta. Ahead, see all the celebrities spotted at the 2023 US Open so far.
