‘Can’t wait for another 9/11’: Nikki Haley says Hamas attack on Israel should be wake up call for US

NEW DELHI: Republican presidential hopeful Nikki Haley said that the unprecedented Hamas attack on Israel is a “warning sign for America” as she drew a comparison between America’s border with Mexico to Israel’s border with Gaza.
Haley has made several sharp statements since Saturday’s attack, saying that it should serve as a “wake-up” call for America and urging Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to “finish” Hamas.
The former US ambassador to the United Nations has now told NBC that the world should not wait for “another 9/11”.
In a criticism of Biden administration, Haley said that America is incredibly distracted and divided, which makes the world less safe.
“… look at what happened to Israel. They waited for them to be distracted and that’s when your enemies move in. America needs to wake up,” Haleys aid.
Earlier, Haley had suggested that Iran may be involved in the attacks on Israel, adding that it may be looking to attack the US across what she called an “open border”.
“I have been terribly worried about the fact that Iran has said the easiest way to get into America is through the southern border. We have an open border. People are coming through; they’re not being vetted,” Haley said.
“Israel is the front line of defense for the Iranian regime and terrorists that want to hurt us and want to hurt our friends and we need to be honest with the American people about that,” she added.
The unprecedented multi-front attack by Hamas left Israel, and the whole world, in shock, prompting PM Netanyahu to declare a war.
