After making waves with his debut single Seven, featuring Latto and the recently released track 3D in collaboration with Jack Harlow, Jungkook has now unveiled his solo album.
BigHit Music made this announcement via an official statement, revealing that BTS member Jungkook’s debut solo album is titled ‘GOLDEN’. It is inspired from his standout moments and is a tribute to the singer’s journey as BTS’s youngest member and as a solo artist.‘GOLDEN’ will be released on November 3, 2023.
The statement by BigHit Music read, “Hello. This is BIGHIT MUSIC. We are excited to announce the release of BTS member Jungkook’s solo album “GOLDEN.” “GOLDEN” is an album inspired by the golden moments of Jung Kook, the golden maknae of BTS and a solo artist.” The album features 11 tracks, including the previously released digital singles “Seven (feat. Latto)” and “3D (feat. Jack Harlow)”. Jung Kook will be delivering special stage performances and making various appearances alongside the release of “GOLDEN.” Please stay tuned and continue to support Jung Kook as he embarks on his first solo album journey.’ They also announced that the pre-order date starts from October 4.
Previously, Jungkook had spoken a length about Seven during a live session on Weverse and shared, “The key is originally this (sings the first line). But I have to do a test, see if I can do it or not since I have a cold right now. I can’t do falsetto very well right now. Whenever I get a cold it gets harder for me to control my voice. There are some people that sing better when they get a cold. But why am I like this? The song is good, isn’t it? I knew the response would be good. I just trust my gut.”
Currently the band is on a hiatus with a few members working on solo numbers, while others have enlisted for the mandatory military service. However, BTS frontman RM had confirmed a reunion in 2025.
RM shared, “I definitely feel that … And what I’m thinking right now is, these days, when I’m doing my solo projects, is, this is just like a vacation to get back to where I was, which was BTS and ARMY. So, all the solo [work] is just a journey, but it is a very important journey for chapter two. It’s a journey to get back home safe, eventually, when we get back and reunite together in 2025,” he added.
