BTS‘ Jin, the eldest member of the globally renowned K-pop group, began his military service journey on December 13, 2022. Currently serving as a military assistant, Jin’s discharge day is fast approaching on June 12. With just 100 days remaining until his official return to civilian life, excitement among ARMYs is palpable.
Jin’s dedication during his military service has not gone unnoticed. Originally slated to attain the rank of corporal on September 1 last year, Jin’s outstanding performance led to an early promotion, recognizing him as an ‘elite warrior’. Known for his generosity, Jin is reported to prepare meals not only for himself but also for both senior and junior soldiers.
Beyond his duties, Jin’s acts of kindness extend to aiding trainees struggling to complete their training, ensuring they reach their destinations safely. Moreover, he touched the hearts of fellow soldiers and their families by gifting boxes of snail cream to the parents of military trainees during the training completion ceremony.
With Jin’s return to the spotlight just 100 days away, expectations soar for the activities he’ll undertake post-military service. Currently, all BTS members are fulfilling their military duties, with J-Hope starting training in April last year, followed by Suga’s enlistment in September. The remaining members, V, RM, Jimin, and Jungkook, enlisted together in December. Despite their temporary hiatus, BTS reassured fans of their eventual return as a whole group following the discharge of the youngest members, Jimin and Jungkook, in June 2025.
