Bombay High Court: Bombay high court allows Rhea Chakraborty to visit Dubai for a week | India News

MUMBAI: A Bombay high court vacation bench on Tuesday suspended a look out circular against actor Rhea Chakraborty and allowed her to travel to Dubai for a week for a pet food meet-and-greet event as its brand ambassador from Wednesday.
Chakraborty had sought suspension of the LOC for a week and permission to travel abroad. The LOC was issued in connection with the alleged abetment of her former boyfriend and actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s suicide case of 2020.Chakraborty said she has been falsely implicated in the case. The FIR was lodged by Rajput’s father and on Bihar government’s consent, it was transferred to the CBI on August 4, 2020.
The CBI opposed her plea questioning the HC’s jurisdiction to grant her any relief. Its affidavit dated December 26 stated the CBI had “learned from reliable sources that she was no longer the brand ambassador of the pet food company which had sent the invitation for the trip.
