BJP foundation day: Parties fighting existential crisis will keep conspiring against us, PM Modi says | India News

NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday said that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is committed to fight corruption and dynasty politics. Calling the partyworkers BJP’s backbone, PM Modi said that the party has waged war against corruption, nepotism and crime just the way Lord Hanuman fought against demons.
“Selfless service to the nation, a virtue of Lord Hanuman, is the inspiration for BJP cadres,” he said while addressing BJP MPs and workers on the occasion of the party’s 44th foundation day. Hanuman Jayanti, which celebrates the birth of Lord Hanuman, is being observed on Thursday.

The Prime Minister slammed people with ‘baadshahi’ mindset, alleging they have been insulting the poor, backwards and deprived since 2014. The opposition parties never imagined that Article 370 would be history one day and they cannot digest the work BJP is doing, he said.
“Today, they have become so desperate that they have openly started saying ‘Modi teri kabar khudegi’,” PM Modi said.
Taking a dig at the opposition, the Prime Minister said that the identity of Congress is dynasty, nepotism and corruption whereas BJP’s political culture is inclusive.

“Unlike opposition parties, who used the slogan of social justice for political gains, BJP strives for social justice and employment of all segments and the free ration to 80 crore is a living example as it is being given without any discrimination.
Addressing the partyworkers, PM Modi said, “Parties fighting existential crisis will keep conspiring against us. The poor, deprived, dalits and tribals are protecting the lotus (BJP)”.

The Prime Minister’s address was broadcast live at over 10 lakh places across the country.
Earlier today, BJP national president JP Nadda hoisted the saffron party flag at the party national headquarters in Delhi and addressed the party workers.
“Under PM Modi’s leadership, BJP has made groundbreaking achievements. We got the inspiration from ‘Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat’ under the Prime Minister’s leadership,” Nadda said.
The Bharatiya Janata Party has instructed all its workers to organise seminars and discussions on the history of the party and the achievements of the central government.
The BJP was founded on April 6, 1980 after leaders of the erstwhile Jana Sangh quit the Janata Party to launch a new party.
The saffron party will also observe ‘social justice week’ starting today to the birth anniversary of BR Ambedkar on April 14. The BJP will observe nationwide programmes to commemorate Ambedkar, a freedom fighter, social reformer, architect of India’s constitution and an icon especially for dalits.
