Recently, Bhumi Pednekar shared her experience working on the upcoming crime thriller, Bhakshak, produced under the banner of Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan’s Red Chillies Entertainment. The film is set to stream on OTT this week, marking Bhumi’s first collaboration with Shah Rukh Khan.

Recalling the moment the movie wrapped up its shoot in Lucknow, Bhumi recounted a surprising call she received from Shah Rukh Khan himself.

She expressed her gratitude towards the actor, acknowledging his graciousness, stating that the day they wrapped up the film, she remembers eating dinner and was like, ‘oh the film is done.’ There was going to be a get-together party, and they were in Lucknow, and she got a call from Shah Rukh, and he’s such a gracious man. He just called her to thank (for doing the film) and she was like “dude you’re Shah Rukh Khan.” Bhumi also mentioned that not only that, she is also manifesting working with King Khan as an actor since many years.

Commending Red Chillies for their swift support of the film, Bhumi highlighted their immediate recognition of the material and their decision to present the story through their platform. She also expressed her desire to star in a romantic film alongside Shah Rukh Khan. The trailer for Bhakshak, released last month, gained attention, and Shah Rukh Khan took to social media to endorse the film. Responding to the film’s director Pulkit’s gratitude, Shah Rukh Khan acknowledged the movie’s impact, stating, “All the best for the film. It’s such a hard-hitting film!! And the whole cast is outstanding.”

Bhakshak is all set to release on Netflix on February 9, promising audiences a crime thriller with the added flavour of Bhumi Pednekar’s collaboration with the legendary Shah Rukh Khan.
