Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra to start from Manipur on Sunday | India News

NEW DELHI: Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra, led by Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, will commence on Sunday from Manipur’s Thoubal district.
The yatra aims to unite the nation and promote justice. Congress leader Jairam Ramesh informed the press that the yatra will begin in Thoubal, Manipur, with Rahul Gandhi’s arrival in Imphal at 11 am. The first stop will be the Khongjom War Memorial, a site of great significance not only for Manipur but for the entire country.
The Bharat Jodo Yatra will primarily be conducted via bus, with approximately 60 to 70 participants.
It is scheduled to traverse the northeastern states over the course of the next 11 days. Ramesh criticized the central government, urging them to address the injustices of the past decade instead of focusing solely on future promises. He emphasized that this is the reason behind the initiation of the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra.
Several prominent Manipur Congress leaders, including former Chief Minister Okram Ibobi Singh, were present during the announcement. In a virtual meeting of the INDIA bloc, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge expressed optimism about the ongoing seat-sharing negotiations.
He extended an invitation to all INDIA bloc parties to join Rahul Gandhi’s ‘Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra’ and raise awareness about the social, political, and economic issues affecting the common people of India.
The Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra will cover an extensive distance of 6,713 km, spanning across 100 Lok Sabha constituencies, 337 assembly segments, and 110 districts. Its objective is to foster unity and address the prevailing issues faced by the nation.
