Queen Bey has once again graced us with her Midas touch, but this time she’s taken a detour through country lane and, oh boy, did she arrive with a bang!

Beyoncé’s latest country banger, “Texas Hold ‘Em,” made a grand entrance straight to No. 1 on Billboard‘s Hot Country Songs chart. This gem debuted during the Super Bowl on Feb. 11 and had us all on the edge of our seat until Feb. 15, racking up a whopping 19.2 million streams, spinning on the radio 4.8 million times, and selling 39,000 units faster than hotcakes. And get this – it also hit No. 2 on the Hot 100 chart. Talk about slaying charts left and right!

Beyoncé and Taylor Swift are the only solo ladies to clinch this feat without any collabs.

An Oklahoma country radio station was caught in a bit of a pickle when they said, “Nope, no Beyoncé here,” to a song request. However, after Bey’s army of fans voiced their disappointment, the station did a 180, claiming they simply weren’t in the loop about the new track and didn’t have it in their playlist yet. All is well that ends well – they’ve since been spinning “Texas Hold ‘Em.”

This whole scenario sparked a much-needed chat about diversity and inclusion among the country music gatekeepers. It seems like some are still figuring out how to shuffle their deck to welcome more variety into the fold.

Adding to the excitement, Queen Bey didn’t stop with just one song; she dropped another country single, “16 Carriages,” which landed at No. 9 on the Hot Country Songs chart and No. 38 on the Hot 100. This track gathered 10.3 million streams, charmed the radio waves 90,000 times, and saw 14,000 sales.

Stay tuned y’all, because something tells us Bey’s just getting started.
