Bengal cops for Banga Bhavans after CCTV row | India News

KOLKATA: Bengal police have moved around 20 personnel to Delhi to be deputed at the two Banga Bhavans in the national capital’s Haley Road and Chanakyapuri areas, in a move that follows Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee’s public protests against “Delhi and Gujarat cops entering Banga Bhavan and taking CCTV footage”.
The deployment took place Monday, Nabanna sources said. Some members of the team, comprising sub-inspectors and constables and having a few women, will carry small arms like 9-mm pistols.
The Bengal government had lodged a complaint at Chanakyapuri police station against the Gujarat-Delhi cops’ action.
