Akshay Kumar and Rohit Shetty to collaborate again for an action thriller: Report | Hindi Movie News

The Khiladi Kumar of Bollywood is on a roll. On the one hand, he is gearing up for the release of his next – ‘Mission Raniganj,’ on the other hand, reports are going around that he will be collaborating one more time with his ‘Sooryavanshi’ maker Rohit Shetty for an edge-of-the-seat action thriller. It is being said that Mohit Suri will be directing the film, but an official announcement on the same is awaited.
A source told Pinkvilla that the idea of the project was being discussed by Rohit Shetty, Mohit Suri and Akshay Kumarfor a while now, and finally, the script has aligned with the vision of the three.It is a thriller action drama that will feature Kumar in a never-before-seen character. Further, though other actors who will be a part of the movie have not been disclosed, the source added the film will have a strong cast to support.
Commenting further on the progress of the untitled next, the source added that the narration and paperwork has been done, and now they are finalizing the shooting schedule. The movie is expected to go on the floors in the first quarter of 2024.
Meanwhile, Akshay’s ‘Mission Raniganj’ will be making it to the big screens on October 6. The movie is inspired by the real-life heroic act of the late Shri Jaswant Singh Gill who rescued men from the Bharat coal mine. Akshay also has the ‘Soorarai Pottru’ adaptation, Ali Abbas Zafar’s ‘Bade Miyan Chote Miyan’ and ‘Khel Khel Mein’ in the pipeline.
