Aishwarya Rajinikanth and Dhanush finally file for divorce more than a year after announcing separation

South superstar Rajinikanth‘s daughter director Aishwarya Rajinikanth and actor-director Dhanush have been in the news. They got married in 2004 and were one of the most loved couples. However, the couple left everyone shell shocked when they announced their separation. They announced separation in January 2022. It was a big news that left everyone disappointed who loved the couple. Now, the latest news has come that Aishwarya and Dhanush have filed for divorce at the Chennai family court recently. Aishwarya Rajinikanth and Dhanush file for divorce

The sources close to the couple told India Today that the couple have filed the petition under Section 13 B – divorce by mutual consent. They have filed the divorce a year and a half later after announcing separation. Their case will be heard soon. The couple has been living separately for two years. They have two sons, Yatra and Linga. The kids live with Dhanush. They were spotted together at their sons’ school events. On January 17, 2022, Dhanush and Aishwarya announced their separation.

They took to X and wrote, “18 years of togetherness as friends, couple, as parents and well wishers to each other. The journey has been of growth, understanding, adjusting and adapting. Today we stand at a place where our paths separate. Aishwaryaa and I have decided to part ways as a couple and take time to understand us as individuals for the better (sic).”

Aishwarya and Dhanush have been cordial and have been doing their parenting duties well. They have also been doing great in careers and have shown support for each other’s work. After announcing the separation, Aishwarya made her directorial comeback with Lal Salaam which also starred Rajinikanth.

Dhanush had praised the movie on social media and even showered praises on Rajinikanth. However, he did not mention his ex-wife, Aishwarya.
