Adipurush box office collection Day 1: Prabhas-Kriti Sanon’s film registers third biggest opening day collection post pandemic, after Pathaan and KGF 2 | Hindi Movie News

Om Raut‘s epic mythological action film based on Ramayan has stormed the box office. The Hindi version of the film made a record on its opening day as it became the third highest opener after Pathaan and KGF 2 in post pandemic times.
Adipurush(Hindi) registered outstanding collections across all Hindi circuits as it collected about Rs 36-36.50 crore nett on Day 1, reports box office India.The collections have been above expectations as it picked up momentum on advance bookings on Wednesday that continued all through the first day. The collection from Mumbai is around Rs 11.50 crore nett, Delhi/UP circuit added Rs 8 crore nett while the film collected Rs 3.25 crore nett from East Punjab, the report further stated. The collections at multiplexes are looking strong even on Saturday and the film is doing well even at the single screens.
The film has also registered extraordinary numbers overseas on its opening day. While the final overseas numbers are yet to be calculated, it is expected to be around Rs 140-150 crore worldwide on its opening day.
Meanwhile, Adipurush is facing criticism for the quality of its VFX and ‘tapori’ style dialogues mouthed by Devdatta Nage playing Lord Hanuman.
