Toni Collette Reveals She’s Asked Intimacy Coordinators To Leave Because Of Discomfort


Toni Collette is opening up about her opinion on intimacy coordinators on film sets.

The 50-year-old actress is just the latest in the long line of celebs sharing what they really think of the presence of the coordinators on sets and if they’re helpful or not.

For Toni, she admitted that there have been times when she’s felt discomfort with them around.

In a recent interview with the Times of London, Toni said that she has felt anxious around them.

“I think it’s only been a couple of times where they’ve been brought in, and I have very much trusted and felt at ease with the people I was working with,” she shared.

Toni added that it felt “like those people who were brought in to make me feel more at ease were actually making me feel more anxious. They weren’t helping, so I asked them to leave.”

As many have argued about the benefits of the coordinators to be on set when intimate and sensual scenes are filmed.

Toni was then asked if she would’ve been more comfortable with them on set earlier on in her acting career she shared that it would all depend.

“You never know what you’re going to get [with them on set] and it’s a miracle that a film ever comes together, let alone thrives. I’ve been very fortunate in that I’ve only worked with a few arseholes over the several decades that I’ve managed to keep this boat afloat,” Toni added.

Emma Thompson was the latest star to speak out about the benefits of intimacy coordinators.
