Terrorists escape after brief gunfight in Budgam village | India News

SRINAGAR: An unknown number of terrorists managed to escape after a brief gunfight with security forces at Redbugh in central Kashmir’s Budgam district on Sunday.
Sources said that the brief encounter took place between terrorists and a joint team of J&K Police and Army around 10.30am.
Meanwhile, security forces in Poonch district busted a terrorist hideout and recovered arms and ammunition, including three AK rifles and 10 hand grenades, on Sunday.
Officials said that a joint team of Army and police launched a cordon-and-search operation at Bachian Wali village of Surankote during which the hideout under some rocks was unearthed.
They further said that some grenades recovered during the operation have been taken into possession by the forces and those will be destroyed through a controlled explosion.
