Michael B. Jordan is single and the cast of “Saturday Night Live” was really hoping he was ready to mingle during his hosting debut on Jan. 28. The “Creed III” star kicked off the show with an opening monologue where he appeared to reference his breakup from Lori Harvey, only to be hit on by the show’s female cast members including Chloe Fineman, Heidi Gardner, Ego Nwodim, and Punkie Johnson.

“My name is Michael B. Jordan, but tonight, Michael B. Hosting. Michael B. Nervous. Michael B. Vulnerable. But Michael will be aiight,” Jordan said at the start of his monologue. “Because Michael B. in therapy.”

From there, the actor segued into sharing a clip from his early TV role on “All My Children” before seemingly referencing his breakup. “That was 2003, and now 20 years later I just directed my very first movie, ‘Creed III.’ But right after that, I went through my very first public breakup,” he said. “Now, most people after a breakup are like ‘I’m going to get in better shape,’ but I was already in ‘Creed’ shape so I had to be like, ‘Alright, I guess I’ll learn a new language.'”

Jordan then joked, “Anyway, estoy en Raya.” From there, the “SNL” players decided to shoot their shot. First up was Fineman who asked, “So I know you’re single, but did you know that I’m single?” The actor replied, “Don’t you date that hot writer?” To which Fineman shot back, “Not if you’re available. Hey, could you remind me how to spell your number?”

Even Johnson got in on the joke when she approached Jordan to tell him they were basically wearing the same suit. “Boy, you looking fine as ever as always,” she said while giving the actor a squeeze. “I got the same suit you got.”

“Aren’t you gay?” Jordan asked. Johnson explained, “I am, but you Michael B. Jordan. And I’m Punky B. curious. I mean even vegans got cheat days, right?”

In addition to revealing he was single, Jordan’s “SNL” hosting debut also saw the actor stretch his comedic acting muscles as Jake from State Farm took a dark turn, Adonis Creed made an appearance on “Weekend Update,” and he played a weatherman who got stuck on a nightmare rollercoaster ride.

Earlier this week, Jordan stopped by “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” to talk about how his “SNL” rehearsals were “going great.” Jordan also dished about the hilarious way the “SNL” crew prepared for his arrival — about a decade in advance.

When Fallon asked Jordan about “the pillow,” the actor chuckled before he shared how he’d unknowingly slept with some “SNL” crew members. “They’re like, ‘Alright, this might be a little weird. We actually have been living with you for the last 10 years,'” he recalled. Apparently, an “SNL” employee bought one of the show’s producers a life-size pillow with Jordan’s picture printed on it, which many crew members have taken naps on during their shifts. With Fallon showing the audience a photo of it, Jordan said he asked the “SNL” team, “‘So wait, every lady in here has slept with me at some point over the last 10 years?'”
