‘Multiple mistakes’: DGCA issues Go First show-cause | India News

BENGALURU: Aviation regulator DGCA on Tuesday slapped a show-cause on domestic carrier Go First, citing “multiple mistakes” that led to a Delhi-bound flight taking off from Bengaluru the previous morning without 55 passengers who had been waiting in a bus for their turn to board.
The notice to the chief operating officer and a manager of the airline listed “lack of proper communication, coordination, reconciliation and confirmation” among the lapses ahead of flight departing at 5.45am on Monday.
Go First, which accommodated those left behind on another flight to Delhi four hours later, has two weeks to reply. It issued an apology to the passengers due to “an inadvertent oversight”. It offered a free ticket to each on any domestic sector during the next 12 months. A spokesperson said Go First suspended all staff members, including the ground crew and the bus driver.
