Liam Neeson and Conor McGregor have bad blood.

The 70-year-old Taken star opened up about his thoughts on the UFC (Ultimate Fight Club) during a recent interview.

He noted that he “can’t stand” the sport and honed in on one of the most famous athletes who participates.

“That to me is like a bar fight. I know the practitioners are like, ‘no, you’re wrong—the months of training we do …’ Why don’t you just grab a beer bottle and hit the other guy over the head? That’s the next stage of the UFC,” Liam told Men’s Health.

He was even less generous when describing Conor, saying “That little leprechaun Conor McGregor, he gives Ireland a bad name.”

Liam added that he respected the fighter was “fit” but that was all he was willing to give him.

“I can’t take it,” he added.

It’s unclear why exactly Liam is beefing with Conor. It also doesn’t look like Conor has directly responded yet. However, he might have indirectly reacted to the interview.

On Friday (February 3), one day after the Men’s Health interview was released, Conor hopped on Twitter to write that he was “Irish proud.”

“Always,” he added next to an Irish flag. It’s unclear if this was a response to Liam‘s diss or if it was just a timely but unrelated tweet.

Did you know that Liam belongs to a very exclusive club?

If you missed it, Conor opened up about a recent accident?
