Jammu and Kashmir administration enhances ex-gratia relief for fallen CAPF soldiers | India News

SRINAGAR: The administrative council (AC) which met under the chairmanship of J&K lieutenant governor Manoj Sinha approved enhancement of ex-gratia relief to next of kin of Central Armed Paramilitary Forces (CAPF) personnel who die in the line of duty, from Rs. 5 lakh to Rs. 25 lakh.
According to the decision, CAPF personnel from J&K who make the supreme sacrifice in the line of duty, within or outside the territorial jurisdiction of the union territory, will receive ex-gratia relief equivalent to that provided to the fallen heroes from the defence forces.
Advisor to the LG Rajeev Rai Bhatnagar, chief secretary Arun Kumar Mehta and principal secretary to the LG Mandeep Kumar Bhandari were present at the meeting.
