Gwyneth Paltrow is taking the stand.
On Friday (March 24), the 50-year-old actress gave her testimony in her civil suit against retired optometrist Terry Sanderson, who has accused Gwyneth of intentionally injuring him during a ski collision back in 2016 and is suing suing her for $300,000.
While on the stand, Gwyneth was questioned about her friendship with Taylor Swift.

Gwyneth is countersuing Sanderson for the amount of $1, which his lawyers believe was inspired by the 33-year-old “Lavender Haze” singer.
In 2017, Taylor was awarded $1 in her lawsuit against radio DJ David Mueller, who she accused of sexual assault for allegedly groping her back in 2013.
During Taylor‘s trial, her attorneys referred to the $1 as “symbolic of the value of which is immeasurable to all women in this situation,” which Gwyneth seemingly echoed in her testimony.
“It’s an actual dollar that I’m asking for. It’s symbolic because the damages would actually be more,” Gwyneth said on the stand.
In response, Sanderson‘s attorney Kristin VanOrman asked if Gwyneth came up with the dollar amount based on Taylor‘s victory in court.
“I think I said [when you first asked me] that I had not been familiar with [Taylor‘s trial] but I since am,” Gwyneth responded. “I would not say we are good friends, we are friendly. I’ve taken my kids to one of her concerts before, but we don’t talk very often.”
VanOrman then asked Gwyneth if she has given Taylor “personal, intimate gifts for Christmas.”
The attorney is seemingly referring the Goop December 2021 commercial, where Gwyneth can been seen stuffing gift bags with various products, including a vibrator that was addressed to Taylor.
Gwyneth‘s attorney questioned its relevance to this case and the judge sustained the request before Gwyneth had a chance to answer.
