Nelson is currently trying to get a seat on the Disney board of directors and the company has released a statement against his bid, according to Variety.
For those who don’t know, Nelson is the founder of Trian Fund Management and the non-executive chairman of Wendy’s, The Madison Square Garden Company, and Sysco.

Disney said in a slideshow presentation shared with the SEC that Peltz lacks a “basic understanding of our industry by his own admission.”
“Nelson Peltz does not understand Disney’s businesses and lacks the skills and experience to assist the board in delivering shareholder value in a rapidly shifting media ecosystem,” the presentation said. “Peltz wants to ‘adapt strategies to address changing industry dynamics.’ Yet he lacks a basic understanding of our industry by his own admission.”
Nicola has been in the news lately for her budding friendship with Selena Gomez.
