JAIPUR: A suspected cow vigilante was arrested on Friday for alleged involvement in abducting two men from Bharatpur before burning them to death at Bhiwani in Haryana.
Bharatpur IG Gaurav Srivastav said Rinku Saini, 32, is one of the five cow vigilantes booked for the abduction and murder of Junaid, 39, and Nasir, 21. The charred remains of both were found in a burnt Bolero on Thursday.
A search is underway for four others. Saini worked as a cab driver and reportedly chased vehicles of cattle smugglers with friends.
On Friday, several members of the Meo community held a gathering in Bharatpur’s Ghatmika village, from where the slain duo hailed.
