[ad_1]

Charles Kimbrough, best known for his work as anchorman Jim Dial on Murphy Brown, has sadly died at the age of 86.

He passed away on January 11 in Culver City, California, his son confirmed to the New York Times.

He was a star on both the stage and screen, earning a Tony nomination for his work in the original Broadway cast of Company back in 1971, as well as an Emmy nomination for his work on Murphy Brown, the long-running CBS sitcom. You may also recognize his voice from the animated movie The Hunchback of Notre Dame, where he voiced the gargoyle Victor. Murphy Brown was rebooted back in 2018 and he appeared in a few of those episodes, too.

Our thoughts are with Charles‘ loved ones during this time. RIP.
