PATNA: Former Bihar CM Rabri Devi was quizzed by CBI sleuths at her residence in Patna for about four hours on Monday in connection with an alleged land-for-job railway recruitment scam in which her husband, ailing RJD chief Lalu Prasad, their two daughters and 14 others face charges.
RJD supporters staged a dharna outside the residence alleging misuse of central agencies by the Centre. Lalu’s son and deputy CM Tejashwi Prasad Yadav said “such things” will continue till the 2024 LS polls.

The CBI team reached Rabri’s 10, Circular Road residence around 11am and questioned her for about four hours while RJD supporters staged a dharna outside alleging misuse of central agencies by the Centre.
The Economic Offences Unit of CBI had registered an FIR in New Delhi on May 18 last year and subsequently filed a chargesheet in the railway scandal in which aspirants allegedly gave more than one lakh square feet of prime plots in Patna as bribe for Group D jobs to Lalu’s family members when he was railway minister in the UPA government (2005-2009).

A CBI special court summoned all the accused, including septuagenarian Lalu, on March 15. Sources said Lalu and his two daughters – Misa Bharti and Hema Yadav – may also be questioned by CBI ahead of the next hearing.
Lalu’s son and deputy CM Tejashwi Prasad Yadav, who stays with his mother, said “such things” will continue till the 2024 Lok Sabha polls. “The day the trust vote was held (in August) and our Mahagathbandhan government was formed, I said this series will continue. There is a hearing on March 15 which is a normal procedure for bail,” he said. He had left for the state assembly in morning to attend the ongoing budget session before CBI team arrived.
