Alia Bhatt showers love on team ‘RRR’ as ‘Naatu Naatu’ wins Best Song award at Golden Globes 2023 | Hindi Movie News

Team ‘RRR’ created history as it bagged the prestigious Golden Globe award this year. ‘Naatu Naatu’ won Best Song – Motion Picture honour, emerging as the first Asian song to own this award. Reacting to the win, Alia Bhatt, posted an Instagram story of the winning moment and captioned it with a series of hearts.

Lauding the team for its historic win, musician AR Rahman had tweeted, “Incredible ..Paradigm shift. Congrats Keeravani Garu 💜from all Indians and your fans! Congrats @ssrajamouli Garu and the whole RRR team!” While receiving the award, the song’s music director MM Keeravaani stated, “Thank you very much HFPA for this prestigious award. I am very much overwhelmed with this great moment. I am very happy to share this excitement with my wife. There has been an age old practice to say that this award actually belongs to someone else. I was planning not to say those words when I get an award like this. But, I am sorry to say that I am going to repeat the tradition because I mean my words. This award belongs to, in order of priority, my brother and director of the movie SS Rajamouli. I thank him for his vision, trust in my work and his constant support. I also want to thank NTR Junior and Ram Charan who danced with great stamina.” ‘RRR’ had also bagged a nomination in the Best Picture – Non-English Language category, but lost out on the same to ‘Argentina, 1985’.
Speaking about a possible sequel to ‘RRR’, director Rajamouli had told Variety on the red carpet, “A few weeks back when I was discussing with my father and cousin, who are my story team, a fantastic idea came up and we started writing. But, you know, until the script is done, we can’t take it forward, but we are in the process of doing that.”
